Sutterfield is a small business that I co-own with my partner. The website serves as both a business platform and a personal sandbox for experimenting with new technologies—and learning what it takes to run a website that generates real revenue.

When I took over the digital presence, Sutterfield’s online branding was inconsistent, and the site was originally built on WordPress. I rebuilt it from the ground up, streamlining the brand identity and redesigning the website to integrate directly with Flickr, eliminating the need for manual inventory updates. Through social media management and data-driven marketing strategies, I significantly increased site traffic and engagement.

The project began in 2015 using an Express (Node.js) and native ES6 JavaScript stack. It has since gone through several refactors—first migrating to React, and later evolving into a modern Next.js and React application.

I also developed a custom design system for Sutterfield, encompassing digital assets, brand identity, and print materials such as business cards.
Ask me if you’d like to learn more about the design system.
